Ariel Richardson has been promoted to editor at Chronicle Children's Books; she was previously associate editor.

Erinn Pascal has been promoted to assistant editor at Simon Spotlight; she was previously editorial assistant.

Laura Kaplan has rejoined HarperCollins Children's Books as publicity manager. She worked in the department from 2008–2010, and was most recently at Disney Publishing Worldwide.

At Random House Children's Books, Josh Redlich has been promoted to publicist, from associate publicist. Katy Dirienzo has joined as production assistant.

At Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing, Rebecca Vitkus is now production editorial assistant; she was previously reprints assistant. Rachel Goldstein has joined as reprints assistant.

Melanie Chang has been named v-p, children's marketing and publicity at Abrams, reporting to president and CEO Michael Jacobs. She was previously v-p of integrated marketing at Little, Brown Books for Young Readers. Liz Fithian has been named director, franchise marketing, children's books, reporting to Chang; she was most recently director of marketing at Macmillan Children's Publishing Group.

At Random House Children's Books, Mary McCue has been promoted to associate director of publicity, from assistant director of publicity. Ashley Noelle joins the company as digital and paperback publishing assistant; she was previously managing editorial assistant at Start Publishing.

Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing has two new hires. Jill Hacking has joined as a marketing and publicity assistant; she was previously an intern at W.W. Norton. Samantha Benson has joined as a publicity assistant; she was previously an intern at Bloomsbury Children's Books.

Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing has two new hires. Lauren Hoffman will be joining the company in the role of v-p, marketing and publicity, effective March 27. Previously, she was v-p, brand marketing at MK Creative/Media/Marketing. Lauren began her career at Simon & Schuster in various roles and later worked on a freelance basis, overseeing the brand management of Cassandra Clare's Shadowhunters program. Nicole Russo has also returned to S&S, as senior director of publicity; she was previously director, children's publicity and marketing at Abrams.

Lucille Rettino has been named v-p of marketing and publicity for Tom Doherty Associates, a division of Macmillan Publishing Group, including the imprints Tor Teen and Starscape, effective March 20. She was previously v-p, director of marketing for Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing.

Elizabeth Ward has joined Random House Children's Books as associate director of digital content strategy for the digital marketing team. Previously, she was associate director of teen brand marketing at HarperCollins.
