Jenny Choy is joining the children's division at Abrams in the new role of associate director of school and library marketing. She was previously associate director, school and library marketing at Little, Brown Books for Young Readers.

Random House Children's Books' school and library marketing department has three promotions. Lisa Nadel has been promoted to director, from associate director. Kristin Schulz has been promoted to associate, from coordinator. Stevie Durocher has been promoted to coordinator, from publishing assistant.

Kevin Jones has joined Holiday House as sales director, a newly created position. Most recently he worked at Bloomsbury, marketing the Churchill Archive for Schools, a digital platform, to school libraries in the U.S. and Canada. He also held senior positions in sales, marketing, and marketing services at Bantam Doubleday Dell Books for Young Readers and Random House Children's Books.

Julie Tibbott has joined Jill Corcoran Literary Agency as an agent. She was previously senior editor at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Children's Books.

Scholastic Trade has several promotions and new hires. Lisa Sandell has been promoted to editorial director of Scholastic Press, focusing on fiction and narrative nonfiction; she was previously executive editor. Michael Petranek has been promoted to executive editor and Lego publishing manager, from senior editor. April Chorba has been promoted to senior director of product development for Klutz, from product developer. Armin Bautista has been promoted to designer for Klutz, from production designer. Natalia Remis has been promoted to associate editor, Scholastic Press/Orchard/Blue Sky Press, from assistant editor. Dan Moser has returned as director, special markets and new business; he was formerly international brand licensing manager at Disney. Heather Daugherty has been named creative director, licensing and brands; she was previously senior designer at HarperCollins. Gina Kim has been named product development manager, Klutz; she was previously at Crocodile Creek and Alex Toys. Julia Eisler has been named associate manager, marketing and social media; she was previously social media manager at Grand Communications. Alexis Kuzma has been named mass market sales associate; she was previously special markets assistant at Abrams. Orlando Dos Reis has been named editor at Scholastic Press; he was previously assistant editor at Abrams.

Brian Geffen has joined Henry Holt Books for Young Readers as an editor; most recently he was an associate editor at Philomel.

Susan Van Metre is joining Candlewick Press as executive editorial director of the new Walker Books U.S. imprint, effective October 2. Van Metre was previously at Abrams, where she founded the Amulet Books imprint and became senior v-p and publisher of the children's division; most recently she was v-p and editor-in-chief. The Walker Books U.S. list will launch in fall 2018.

Miriam Miller has joined Holiday House as senior subsidiary rights manager, a new position. Previously she was subsidiary rights manager at Macmillan Children’s Publishing Group.

Random House Children's Books has two new hires. Nancee Adams has joined as copy editor; she was previously a freelance copy editor and proofreader, and has copyedited in-house for Macmillan, Scholastic, and Studio Fun. Bess Schelper has joined as associate copy editor; she was previously a website managing editor and social media editor.

Kyle Good, senior v-p of corporate communications at Scholastic, will retire on December 1, after 14 years with the company.

Alicia Terry has joined Random House Children's Books as design assistant.

Karen Walsh has joined Candlewick Press in the newly created role of executive director of publicity for brands and key titles. She was most recently executive director of publicity at Houghton Mifflin Children's Books. Tracy Miracle has been promoted to senior executive director of publicity, marketing and key campaigns.

Abrams Books has two promotions and a new hire. Maggie Lehrman has been promoted to executive editor and returns in a fulltime capacity; she joined the house in 2005 as an editorial assistant. Traci Todd has been promoted to editorial director, Abrams Appleseed and licensed publishing. Pamela Bobowicz will join the children's editorial team on October 2 as executive editor, licensed publishing. She was most recently senior editor at HarperCollins Children's Books.

Molly Lo Re has joined Random House Children's Books as publishing assistant, reporting to Judith Haut.
