Michelle Montague has joined Holiday House as director, trade marketing, a new position. Most recently she was executive director, marketing and publicity for adult books at Abrams.

Bloomsbury Children's Books has three promotions. Erica Barmash has been promoted to senior director of marketing, from director of trade and digital marketing. She is assuming oversight of the school and library marketing department. Sarah Shumway has been promoted to executive editor, from senior editor. Leopoldo Orozco has joined Random House Books for Young Readers as editorial assistant; he was previously an intern at Levine Greenberg Rostan Literary Agency.

Nancy Mercado will join Dial Books for Young Readers as associate publisher and editorial director on April 9. Previously she was editorial director at Scholastic.

Emily Clement has been promoted to executive editor, Harry Potter, Wizarding World and Special Projects; most recently she was rights and co-editions manager, and before that worked for 10 years at Arthur A. Levine Books. Amanda Shih has joined as associate editor, nonfiction. Most recently she was an assistant editor at TarcherPerigee. Rachel Weinert has joined as rights and co-edition manager. Most recently, she was international operations coordinator. Crystal McCoy has joined as publicity manager. Most recently, she was senior publicist at Little Bee/Sizzle Press.

Trisha de Guzman has joined Farrar, Straus and Giroux Books for Young Readers as associate editor. Previously, she had worked in several positions at Rodale.

Penguin Young Readers has two promotions. Ken Wright, v-p and publisher of Viking Children's Books, has been named president and publisher of Viking Children's Books and Philomel Books. Each imprint will retain its autonomous identity and editorial direction. Jill Santopolo has been named associate publisher of Philomel Books; she was previously editorial director.

Jason Wells has been named director of books marketing at the American Psychological Association, as of April 2. He will be in charge of marketing at APA Books and children's imprint Magination Press. Most recently he was associate publisher and director of marketing and publicity at Rodale Kids, and before that worked at Abrams, Simon & Schuster, and Hachette.

Annette Pollert-Morgan has been promoted to editorial director of Fire, the YA imprint at Sourcebooks. She was previously editorial manager.

Alyson Heller has been promoted to senior editor at Aladdin Books, from editor.

Alexandra West has been named associate editor at HarperCollins. Previously she was assistant editor at Disney Publishing Worldwide.
