Maria Middleton is joining Candlewick Press as art director for imprints, based in New York City. She will oversee art direction for Walker Books U.S., Candlewick Entertainment, Nosy Crow, Templar, and Big Picture Press. Previously she was art director at Random House Children's Books.

Christina Colangelo has been promoted to senior director of marketing, middle grade and young adult at Penguin Young Readers, from director of marketing, middle grade and young adult.

Random House Children's Books has three new hires. Alexandra Hess has been named publicity assistant; she previously worked for Skyhorse Publishing as a fiction and narrative nonfiction editor. Daisy Glasgow has been named publicity assistant. Catherine O’Mara has been named marketing assistant; she was previously marketing associate for Amphorae Publishing Group, and marketing intern for the Children's Book Council.

Little, Brown Books for Young Readers has three new hires. Morgan Maple has joined as publicity assistant. Elliane Mellet has joined as design assistant; previously she was a production intern at Simon & Schuster. Kelly Brennan has joined as design assistant.

Claire Heartfield has joined Holiday House as a production assistant; previously she interned at the Creative Media Agency.

John Passineau has joined Abrams as associate art director of calendars and children's licensing; most recently he was senior designer at Workman.

Taylor Pitts has joined Macmillan Children's Publishing Group as production editor; previously she was assistant production editor at Berkley.

Natasha Puetz has joined Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing as subsidiary rights assistant.

Annette Pollert-Morgan has joined Bloomsbury Children’s Books as editorial director. Previously she was editorial director at Sourcebooks for its YA imprint, Sourcebooks Fire.

Workman's Children's Group has two new hires. Pam Bobowicz has been named senior editor; most recently she was executive editor, licensing publishing at Abrams Children's Books. Maria Elias has been named associate art director; she was formerly senior designer at Disney.

Magination Press has two promotions: Kristine Enderle has been named editorial director, and Sarah Fell has been promoted to senior editor.​

Beth Clark has been promoted to creative director for Roaring Brook Press and FSG Books for Young Readers; previously she was art director. Andrew Arnold has been promoted to art director for First Second Books; previously he was associate art director. Jen Keenanhas joined Roaring Brook Press and FSG Books for Young Readers as art director; most recently she was associate art director at Little, Brown Books for Young Readers.

Penguin Young Readers has three promotions. Lindsay Boggs has been promoted to assistant director of publicity, from publicity manager. Jennifer Dee has been promoted to senior publicist, from publicist. Lizzie Goodell has been promoted to associate publicist, from publicity assistant.

Chelsea Hunter will join Holiday House as designer on September 5; she was previously art studio manager at Little, Brown.
