Random House Children's Books has two new hires. McKenzie L. Beery has been named production assistant, and Jonathan Morris has been named production assistant.

Jessica Gotz has joined Abrams as editorial assistant for Abrams Children's Books and Abrams ComicArts. She was previously an editorial intern in the department, and also interned at Viking Children's Books, Tessler Literary Agency, and Dystel, Goderich, and Bourret.

Shaina Birkhead has been promoted to associate executive director of the Children's Book Council and Every Child a Reader. She was formerly programming and strategic partnerships director.

Brittani Hilles and Carla Bruce-Eddings have joined Algonquin Books and Algonquin Young Readers as senior publicists. Hilles was most recently a publicist at St. Martin's Press, and Bruce-Eddings was associate publicist at Riverhead Books.

Courtney Code has been promoted to associate editor at Abrams, from assistant editor.

Taylor Maccoux has been promoted to assistant editor at Sourcebooks Jabberwocky, from editorial assistant.

Erica Stone has joined Random House Children's Books as school and library marketing coordinator. Previously she was school partnership and offsite sales assistant at Greenlight Bookstore in Brooklyn.

Lori Kilkelly, an agent with Rodeen Literary Management, has formed her own literary agency, LK Literary Agency. She will be bringing her client list with her, and can be reached here; the move was made with full support of RLM president Paul Rodeen.

Heather Moore has been promoted to director of juvenile marketing at Sourcebooks, from senior marketing manager.

Russell Busse has joined the Abrams children's editorial department as senior editor, entertainment and licensed publishing. He will develop and manage the company's licensed publishing program across all children's imprints. Previously he was associate editor at Little, Brown Books for Young Readers.

Candlewick Press has two new hires. Elizabeth Frew is joining as national account manager, working with Barnes and Noble and Books-A-Million; formerly she was a sales representative for educational wholesale at Ingram Content Group. Nicky Benson is joining as a national account manager, working with Readerlink and its distributed retailers; formerly she was director of product management at Readerlink.

Hannah Finne has been promoted to the newly created position of data manager at Holiday House, overseeing data, metadata, and digital assets. She was previously office manager and sales associate.

Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing has two promotions. Sonia Chaghatzbanian has been promoted to executive art director of Atheneum Books for Young Readers, Margaret K. McElderry Books, and Beach Lane Books; she was previously art director. Sarah Creech has been promoted to art director for Simon Pulse, from associate art director.
