The annual Texas Teen Book Festival, which took place October 6 at St. Edward’s University in Austin, drew 37 authors and thousands of readers for a celebration of YA. This year marked the 10th anniversary of the festival, which was launched by the Texas Book Festival and BookPeople; H-E-B served as a presenting sponsor, and Humanities Texas, Penguin Teen, Epic Reads, 3M, and Delacorte Press were contributing sponsors. The 2018 lineup included author panels, signings, Ask Me Anything sessions, writing and filmmaking workshops, a costume contest, cover design challenge, and more. We’ve gathered a selection of highlights from the event.
