The American Library Association and the Children’s Book Council’s ALA-CBC Joint Committee has released its curated list of titles for parents, guardians, and others who wish to assemble an at-home library for young readers up to age 14. Presented every two years, the list is organized by age range and includes lesser-known books, multicultural reads, and noteworthy new releases in a variety of genres and formats.

This year’s selections and annotations are available for free download in booklet form or as one-page handouts sorted by age range: 0–3, 4–7, 8–11, and 12–14.

The ALA-CBC Joint Committee was established with the American Library Association to “foster communication and collaboration between the library and publishing communities.”
