HarperCollins and The Trevor Project, the world’s largest suicide prevention and mental health organization for LGBTQ+ young people, are set for a yearlong partnership.

The Trevor Project centers on providing queer youth support through free confidential crisis intervention and suicide prevention programs such as TrevorLifeline, TrevorText, and TrevorChat, and TrevorSpace, an online networking community for LGBTQ+ youth.

Epic Reads, a HarperCollins platform and the largest online young adult book community, will kick off the collaboration, with its annual Epic Pride virtual event on June 15 at 4 p.m. ET with a livestream through the Epic Reads Facebook page. Panelists will include a number of YA authors including Stonewall Book Award winner Dean Atta, authors Sonora Reyes, Lyla Lee, Kevin Christopher Snipes, and Kate Scelsa, and will be moderated by National Book Award finalist Eliot Schrefer.

HarperCollins will also donate $25,000 to The Trevor Project.
