PTC 2018 will be a packed day, and we didn’t want to leave anything out. Between the longer presentations, we’ve scheduled three flash briefs, 15-minute shots of amazement from three brilliant media minds. Here they are…

Everyone is talking about voice technology: it helps power your phone, it’s in your home, but what’s its potential for media? At 10:30, Andrew Brown, head of the Google Play team, will present Embrace the Assistant: Amplifying your Message through Voice Technology. He’ll explain Google’s vision for how voice and artificial intelligence can help spread marketing messages and build brands.

At 11:15, following the half hour break, you’ll hear from Bianca Consunji, executive producer of Buzzfeed News. Buzzfeed has been rethinking content since its inception, but they’re pushing it even further this year. Consunji came to Buzzfeed after working on visual journalism for Bustle and Mashable, and her talk, Next Gen Visual Storytelling Leaps in New Directions will outline what Buzzfeed has planned and offer ways of re-imagining video for your brand.

At 12:15, you’ll hear from Kristin Fassler, vice president, director of marketing for the Bantam Dell division of Penguin Random House. She oversees the marketing and branding for literally hundreds of major books each year by authors including Debbie Macomber, George R. R. Martin, Lee Child, and Jodi Picoult. Recently, she was in charge of the viral virtual reality promo for George Saunders’s Lincoln in the Bardo. She’ll bring her vast experience to bear on her presentation, Driving Discoverability in New Directions.

You won’t want to miss these tiny talks, all of which pack deep insights into what’s happening next in digital media.
