Spain-based Dosdoce.com this week released an English language version of its 2014 report “New Business Models in the Digital Age.” The report is free to download, and is available in multiple formats, including PDF, ePub, and Mobi. Sponsored by Cedro (Spanish Reproduction Rights Centre) the paper, first published in Spain, is designed to help publishing professionals understand the evolving business landscape.

“The arrival of the Internet in the book world is not just about the digitization of books,” the report, notes, citing developments ranging from micropayments and content chunking to subscription access, crowdfunding and the explosion of user-generated content now online. “Faced with these new ways of creating, accessing, and using culture, book industry professionals need to reflect on what type of business model they are going to implement in order to meet the challenges of the coming uses of the Internet.”

One of the report’s authors Javier Celaya, CEO and Founder of Dosdoce.com, and Laura Ceballos-Watling, will also discuss the report next week at the London Book Fair in a discussion at the Theatre@Tech stage, on Thursday, April 16 at 12:30 p.m.
