Peter Mauceri, the former v-p of national accounts at Hachette Book Group and Little, Brown sales liaison, died on May 25. He was 65.

Mauceri joined Warner Books in 1986, and spent the entirety of his 35-year publishing career in sales, selling accounts including Walden, Dalton, Borders, Barnes & Noble, Costco, Sam's, BJ's, Ingram, and Baker & Taylor. He worked with HBG authors including Nelson DeMille, Sidney Sheldon, Brad Meltzer, Sandra Brown, Malcolm Gladwell, and James Patterson.

Mauceri retired in 2008 to travel, learn Spanish, and pursue writing. His former company said: "In the nine years since he left HBG, he did all of these things with great joy."

A memorial for Mauceri will be held on Saturday, July 22 at 11:00 a.m. EST at the New York Society for Ethical Culture.
