After a newspaper report surfaced about Barnes & Noble preparing to open a new concept stores in a former Borders in Bridgeport Village,Ore., a representative from the chain said the company is not developing new concept stores.

In The Oregonian's item about the new store, the paper said the location would be one of the chain's "two stores of the future" featuring, alongside books, "a great deal of the technology that's been shaping the book industry of late." However, the new stores will look very much like B&N's current one, featuring a Nook boutique, a large toy and game department plus some new dressage.
