Frank Moster, 69, passed away on Sunday from cancer. He began his career in the book business at Macmillan in 1965. He also held positions at Holt, Rinehart & Winston; Hawthorne Books; Little, Brown; and Watson-Guptill before forming the commission rep group Melman-Moster Associates, Inc. with Ned Melman in 1983.

Late last week, Moster sent a note to colleagues and friends, “It has been my honor and privilege to have worked with you over the years in a business I love. I have learned so much throughout my almost 50 years in publishing and have very much enjoyed passing that knowledge on. I do wish you have felt the same joy as I traveling through publishing, creating friendships and strong long-lasting relationships.”

The funeral liturgy will be held on Wednesday March 27 at Church of the Immaculate Conception (900 Darlington Ave., Mahwah, N.J.) at 10 a.m. followed by a burial at Maryrest Cemetery (770 Darlington Ave., Mahwah, N.J.). Friends and family may visit the Oakland Memorial Home (330 Ramapo Valley Road, Oakland, N.J.) on Tuesday, March 26 from 2-4p.m. and 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The United Spinal Association.
