Harris Up at ICM

ICM agent Sloan Harris has been named to the post of co-head of publications, a title he will share with executive v-p Esther Newberg. With that move, Amanda Urban, who was co-head of publications, will now have an expanded role in heading up the agency's international business. Harris, whose clients include Hampton Sides and Maureen Dowd, among others, has been at ICM for 17 years.

Fischer to Timber

Tom Fischer has been named to the newly created position of editor-in-chief at the Portland, Ore., Timber Press. Fischer, who was executive editor, will now have an expanded role, handling the publisher's strategic development and overall management. Fischer, who joined Timber in 2004, was previously an editor at Horticulture magazine.
