Philip Budnick has been named editorial director for Plume. Budnick has a part of the Penguin sales team for 17 years; he was most recently national account sales manager and worked on titles from Viking, Dutton, Gotham, Portfolio, and Sentinel.
Alloy Entertainment has named veteran television executive Michael Ross chief operating officer. In the newly created position, Ross will oversee business affairs matters across AE businesses, including television, film, digital, and publishing, as well as product licensing and merchandising. He will also work on the company’s film financing and digital distribution strategies. Ross was most recently executive vice president, business affairs and operations for BBC Worldwide America.
Christine Edwards has been appointed vice-president, group sales director, Crown Publishing Group. She previously was the division's national account manager.
