Matt Weiland, currently senior editor at Ecco, an imprint of HarperCollins, will move to W. W. Norton & Company this autumn as senior editor in the trade department. The announcement was made by W. Drake McFeely, Norton’s president, and John A. Glusman, editor-in-chief. While at Ecco, Weiland acquired and edited a wide range of fiction and nonfiction including Padgett Powell’s The Interrogative Mood and Philip Connors’ debut Fire Season: Field Notes From a Wilderness Lookout.

At McSweeney's, Ethan Nosowsky has been named editorial director, effective October 31. Nosowsky has been editor-at-large at Graywolf Press since 2007. He began his career at Farrar, Straus and Giroux, where he worked for ten years.

At Chicago Review Press, Lisa Reardon has been promoted from developmental editor to senior editor. As senior editor, Lisa will acquire books for Chicago Review Press, including children’s and YA nonfiction as well as selected adult nonfiction.

Eileen Lawrence will join Little, Brown Books for Young Readers as executive director of marketing, reporting to Andrew Smith, the division’s v-p and deputy publisher, beginning October 19. She was most recently with Macmillan Children's Publishing Group as senior executive director of advertising, promotion and creative services.

Tara Walker will be joining Tundra Books in the role of editorial director, beginning November 1st. Walker was most recently at Kids Can Press, where she has spent the last 16 years.

Niki Papadopoulos has joined Portfolio, Sentinel, and Current as a senior editor. She will be acquiring and editing primarily for their business and science lists. Most recently, Papadopoulos was an editor for the business group at McGraw-Hill Professional

Jon Baker has been promoted tov-p at Mary Anne Thompson Associates. He has been with the company since 2007.
