On today’s Good Morning America:

Singer/songwriter Peter Yarrow presented his children’s book adaptation of Puff the Magic Dragon (Sterling, $16.95). PW's review said, "This handsome volume offers a charming interpretation of the 1960s folk song, written by Yarrow and Lenny Lipton and famously recorded by Peter, Paul and Mary. Adding to the appeal of the book is a CD presenting a new recording of the song (and two others), sung by Yarrow and his daughter Bethany, accompanied by cellist Rufus Cappadocia. An impressive performance all around."

Nancy Guthrie and Michael Duffy introduced The Preacher and the Presidents: Billy Graham in the White House (Center Street, $26.99; Hachette Audio unabridged CD, $39.98).

On The Diane Rehm Show, Norman Pearlstine, former editor-in-chief of Time Inc., went Off the Record: The Press, the Government, and the War over Anonymous Sources (FS&G, $25), his backstory on the Valerie Plame scandal. Tomorrow, he’s on The Leonard Lopate Show.

Authors on The Bob Edwards Show:

Paul Dickson, author of Family Words: A Dictionary of the Secret Language of Families (Marion Street Press, $14.95).

Tony Blair’s former press secretary Alastair Campbell, still promoting The Blair Years: The Alastair Campbell Diaries (Knopf, $35).

Authors on today’s Leonard Lopate Show:

Edward McPherson dealt The Backwash Squeeze and Other Improbable Feats: A Newcomer's Journey into the World of Bridge (HarperCollins, $23.95). PW’s review had this to say: “McPherson is an amusing writer who believes that bridge is a battle between fate and chance mediated by skill. In this lighthearted book, he relates bridge's history and tours its contemporary universe.”

Eugene Drucker, violinist for the Emerson String Quartet, discussed The Savior (S&S, $23), which PW considered “a haunting novel of the waning days of WWII. … his morality tale has bite.”

Senator Joe Biden maintained Promises to Keep: On Life and Politics (Random House, $25.95).

Tonight on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, professor Tal Ben-Shahar becomes Happier: Learn the Secrets to Daily Joy and Lasting Fulfillment (McGraw-Hill, $21.95; HighBridge unabridged; CD, $26.95). From PW’s review: “Though it sounds simple, Ben-Shahar insists on keen self-awareness and purposeful action to overcome entrenched patterns of despondency and/or disbelief. For answer-seekers, this is definitely a good start.”
