Since Ray Bradbury's death on June 5, his most famous work has been steadily increasing in sales. For the newest trade paperback edition of Fahrenheit 451, published in January 2012 by Simon & Schuster, sales reached 7,600 copies for the week ending June 17--good enough to place it at #75 on Nielsen BookScan's overall bestseller list, and #19 on the trade paper bestseller list. The sales are up from 5,208 copies in the week ending June 10, and 3,066 copies in the week ending June 3.

As of the morning of June 26, Fahrenheit 451 was #20 on Amazon's bestseller list. No other Bradbury book has been able to match its success; Something Wicked This Way Comes saw the second highest increase in sales, rising to 814 copies sold in the week ending June 17, according to the outlets tracked by BookScan.
