Hoping to build on the success of her memoir, Wild, Vintage is reissuing a paperback edition of Cheryl Strayed's debut novel, Torch. The book was originally publishing by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt in 2006 and Vintage's edition will drop on October 12.

The new edition of the book--it's about about a family coping with the sudden death of their mother--will feature a new foreword by Strayed which Vintage said will capture "her origin story as a writer and the experience of writing fiction rooted in autobiography."
