Chris Kyle's American Sniper was the #1 bestseller on Nielsen BookScan, in the first full week of sales reporting following the author's death. American Sniper sold nearly 39,000 copies, up from 7,500 copies the week previous. Overall, the book reached the top spot from #59 on the bestseller list.
The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia experiened the opposite sales effect: its sales plummeted in its second week, moving only 7,000 copies, down from 59,000 copies the week previous. Overall, the title fell from #1 overall to #77 on Nielsen's bestseller chart.
