The Book Industry Environmental Council has launched surveys for publishers, printers and paper manufacturers involved in the U.S. book industry. The surveys will remain open until June 19th and ask questions that will allow for continued tracking of the progress the book industry has made towards reducing its environmental footprint.
All publishers, printers and paper manufacturer that produce books or supply the U.S. book industry are encouraged to participate. The BIEC will ensure the confidentiality of all data submitted and will only report on industry averages and totals. Responses will be completely anonymous unless a participant chooses to provide optional contact information. No data specific to any individual company's responses will be collected, stored or reported on by the BIEC.
