Roads Publishing, a division of the Dublin-based luxury brand, Roads, is bringing its list of illustrated books to the U.S. and Canada for the first time this fall. The books will be distributed by ACC Distribution.

Going forward, Roads Publishing plans to release approximately twelve books, twice a year, in the spring and fall seasons.

Founded by Danielle Ryan in 2013, Roads is a lifestyle brand with three arms—Roads Fragrance, Roads Publishing and Roads Entertainment, which Ryan describes as "autonomous." The publishing unit released its first titles, newly-designed classic works, in December 2013, and the illustrated coffee table books followed in March 2014.

"The decision to build a publishing house, fragrance line and film production company comes from a desire for the brand to act as a storyteller," said Ryan. "Every Roads product, be it a film, book or scent, tells a story and enables our customers to start building the next part of their own story, as art, culture and the products we all buy should.”

The company is kicking off its first Stateside list with six titles: Paparazzo: The Elio Sorci Collection, which includes a foreword by Philippe Garner; Weekly World News; Reservoir, with a foreword by Whitney Chadwick; and Fernando Vicente. Bram Stoker's Dracula and Charlotte Brontë’s Jane Eyre will be two new editions to the classics line. The Roads backlist will also be made available in North America, along with the initial launch list.

Roads Publishing currently has four staffers in its Dublin office, including Ryan. Ryan said that the company is just "getting comfortable with the U.S. market" right now, and doesn't currently have plans to open an office Stateside.
