Sarah Jessica Parker will launch a new imprint at Molly Stern's new Zando publishing house. Under the SJP Lit imprint, Parker will acquire books and publish four to six books over the course of the next three years. The imprint is the latest of a number of celebrity collaborations with Zando, including John Legend’s Get Lifted, Lena Waithe’s Hillman Grad Productions, and the Gillian Flynn Books imprint.

The imprint will publish, Zando said, "sweeping, expansive, thought-provoking, and big-hearted literary and commercial works that are inclusive of international and underrepresented voices, leveraging her far-reaching celebrity to connect both emerging and established authors with new and eager readers." Parker, the publisher added, "will be heavily involved in the publishing process, from selection and acquisition to cover design and the book’s release into the marketplace."

SJP Lit marks Parker's second foray into book publishing, following the line SJP for Hogarth, and her third bookish collaboration with Stern, with whom she previously partnered on both the Hogarth line and a book club. Parker has remained active in the book world, serving as the American Library Association’s honorary book club central chair and as a board member of United for Libraries.

“Sarah Jessica’s authentic passion for and commitment to books has long been a source of deep inspiration to me, and a guiding light for Zando’s mission,” Stern said in a statement. “Reading, discovering, and discussing exciting new voices with her is one of life’s great pleasures. Sarah Jessica is an essential part of Zando’s DNA, and I’m so proud to be able to build and publish with her again.” All of Zando's titles will be distributed by Ingram's Two Rivers unit.

Among the books published by Parker's prior imprint, SJP for Hogarth, are the bestseller A Place For Us by Fatima Farheen Mirza, and Golden Child by Claire Adam, the winner of the Desmond Elliott Prize.
