Fifteen years ago, the final installment in J.K. Rowling’s megaselling Harry Potter series was released to record-breaking sales. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows sold 8.3 million copies in the first 24 hours after its release, with a chunk of those sales coming from fans who attended midnight parties held by bookstores to celebrate the publication of the book.
