Simon & Schuster’s Carolyn Reidy and Albin Michel’s Guillaume Dervieux will be the speakers at this year's Frankfurt CEO Talk, which is set to happen during the annual international fair on October 11.

Reidy was named CEO of S&S in 2008 and, since then, has been in charge of the publisher’s worldwide activities. In addition to its U.S. group, S&S has operations in Canada, the U.K., and Australia.

Dervieux was appointed to lead the French publishing house Albin Michel in 2012. The company has been in the publishing industry for over 100 years.

The discussion will highlight strategic developments in international publishing, in particular the relevance of books and publishers in the context of global media competition. The talk will also touch on the transformation of audiences, and their cultural practices.

The Frankfurt CEO Talk is presented by Livres Hebdo (France), with Publishers Weekly (USA) Bookdao (China), The Bookseller (United Kingdom), buchreport (Germany), and PublishNews (Brazil). It will be chaired by consultant Rüdiger Wischenbart and will feature the presentation of the global ranking of the publishing industry’s largest publishers.

Juergen Boos, director of the Frankfurter Buchmesse, will open the discussion.
