The U.S. Book Show, a new online book fair produced by Publishers Weekly, has opened registration for the virtual event, which is scheduled to be held May 25-27, 2021.

The new book fair will focus on showcasing books coming in the fall, highlighting new releases of interest to booksellers, librarians and consumers. The show has set an entry of $35 and more information on registration and the show can be found at the U.S. Book Show website.

The U.S. Book Show will offer robust slate of editorial programming over the three days, including four children’s and four adult panels focused on the big books coming in fall 2021. The panels will be moderated by PW editors and focus on the such categories as general fiction, mysteries/thrillers, biography/memoir and personal narratives and current events and affairs. Children's categories to be covered include picture books, middle grade, young adult, and comics/graphic novels.

PW editorial director Jim Milliot said the show will pay “special attention to big fall books, including those books and authors confronting the pandemic, diversity and other contemporary issues.”

In addition, Milliot said that the winners of PW’s annual Bookseller of the Year and Sales Representative of the Year will be awarded during the event, as well as the U.S. Selfies award for independent authors. The show will also include a component aimed at charitable fundraising to benefit bookselling and library nonprofit organizations in need of aid during this trying period.

The U.S. Book Show is designed to serve every facet of the book publishing industry and will target librarians, booksellers, publishers, literary agents, distributors, editors and other book-related professionals. As always, the PW Show Daily will cover the show’s events, publishing news, programming, and big books. In addition to highlighting fall titles and professional programming panels, the U.S. Book Show will offer opportunities for virtual parties, socializing, and networking.

PW executive v-p and publisher Cevin Bryerman said, “The U.S. Book Show has made major progress in the last month to ensure a global turnout. Booksellers, librarians, publishers, agents and others have inundated PW with requests for more information, wanting to exhibit and to attend.”
