|Sales Manager, Key Accounts|
|MAJOR DUTIES: The Sales Manager – Key Accounts is responsible for selling Abingdon Press products to large and influential Trade customers. The incumbent works closely with Abingdon Press sales and marketing teams to meet/exceed sales goals by effectively and accurately presenting products to customers, managing customer needs for data, and developing sales programs and marketing initiatives targeted to grow sales with current customers and develop sales with new customers. The incumbent is responsible for maintaining current knowledge of all new products through communication with the publishing and marketing teams, maintaining and communicating accurate orders and customer communications, providing updated customer reports, and compiling accurate expense and budgetary reports. The incumbent will also work closely with product development teams to improve and increase sales of future products by providing commentary and customer feedback regarding market trends, customer needs, and competitive products and programs.|
REQUIREMENTS: A Bachelor’s degree and at least five (5) years of experience in publishing, including experience selling to large book retailers and book distributors. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Excellent personal computer skills including experience with the internet, e-mail, and social media. Broad knowledge of all product lines, as well as an understanding of sales techniques related to customer segments and buyers of these products.
