Europe Comics Kicks Off Canada Tour at TCAF 2018
Europe Comics, a coalition of European comics publishers and rights agencies, is kicking off its Canada Tour with appearances by four Euro-comics creators at the Toronto Comic Arts Fest, to be held May 10-13.
Europe Comics is featuring French creators Lewis Trondheim (Dungeon, NBM; Poppies of Iraq, D&Q; Maggy Garrisson, Europe Comics) and Brigitte Findakly (Poppies of Iraq, D&Q), Spaniard Nico Naranjo (Toucan Patrol, Europe Comics) and Belgian Wauter Mannaert (Weegee - Serial Photographer, Conundrum Press; El Mesias, Europe Comics), who will appear at TCAF beginning May 10.
Later Trondheim and Findakly, cocreators of Poppies of Iraq, will appear in a series of public events in Edmonton, and Calgary, and finish the Canada tour at the Vancouver Comic Arts Fest 2018 on May 19 and 20.
The full group will be featured guests at TCAF and participate in a variety of public events and panels.
TCAF is an international celebration of comics and graphic novels featuring hundreds of artists and publishers, held at the Toronto Reference Library May 12-13, along with related events held in the week prior.
