HarperCollins to Raise Minimum Pay

By the end of January, HarperCollins will raise minimum salaries for employees based in the New York metropolitan area and in San Francisco—its locations with the highest cost of living—to $45,000 annually.

In making the decision, HC joins the growing movement by publishers to raise employee salaries. HC said it is boosting pay as part of its “ongoing review of industry data on salaries in order to remain competitive.”
