BIGNY June Event to Spotlight Library-Publisher Relationships
On June 22, the Book Industry Guild of New York will host a conversation focusing on the instrumental role libraries have played in providing accessibility, literacy, and community-building for readers. Panelists include NYC Department of Education librarian and literacy teacher Melissa Cardinali; Hannah Ehrlich, marketing and publicity director at Lee & Low Books; Julie Leung, market director at Del Ray Books; and Shelley Diaz Vale, reviews editor at School Library Journal. The event will be moderated by Alessandra Affinito, children’s librarian at the New York Public Library.
