BIGNY June Event to Spotlight Library-Publisher Relationships

On June 22, the Book Industry Guild of New York will host a conversation focusing on the instrumental role libraries have played in providing accessibility, literacy, and community-building for readers. Panelists include NYC Department of Education librarian and literacy teacher Melissa Cardinali; Hannah Ehrlich, marketing and publicity director at Lee & Low Books; Julie Leung, market director at Del Ray Books; and Shelley Diaz Vale, reviews editor at School Library Journal. The event will be moderated by Alessandra Affinito, children’s librarian at the New York Public Library. The program will be held via Zoom at 6:00 p.m. ET, and will be preceded by the prepanel social (also via Zoom) from 5:15 p.m. to 5:50 p.m. Click here for more information.
