Ed Spade Named President of Sales at HarperCollins

Ed Spade has been appointed president of sales at HarperCollins Publishers. Spade succeeds Josh Marwell, who is retiring.

Spade was previously appointed senior v-p of online sales for HarperCollins when the company acquired HMH Books in 2021. Prior to the acquisition, he served as interim president of HMH. Spade joined HMH in 2017. He has also held sales leadership roles at Ingram Content Group and Viacom, and he began his publishing career at Penguin Young Readers Group.

Spade will sit on the company's global executive committee and will report to HarperCollins CEO and president Brian Murray.
