Best Translated Book Awards Winners Announced

Three Percent, a resource for international literature at the University of Rochester, has announced the winners for this year’s Best Translated Book Awards. Yuri Herrera’s took home the award for fiction for Signs Preceding the End of the World, translated from the Spanish by Lisa Dillman. Angélica Freitas’s Rilke Shake, translated from the Portuguese by Hilary Kaplan, received the award for poetry. Each winning author and translator will receive $5,000 in cash.
