Judy Quinn -- 10/7/97
At this past weekend's Southern Book Festival in Nashville, what has been a fairly open secret in publishing was finally formally acknowledged: Cathie Pelletier, a Nashville author known for literary novels that sell in the 20,000 hardcover copy sale range (Beaming Sonny Home, Crown, 1996) is also K.C. McKinnon, a mysterious new novelist whose much more commercial, Bridges of Madison County-like book, Dancing at the Harvest Moon, is just out with a 250,000 first printing push from Doubleday.
