Laura Corn has become a self-publishing phenomenon, with more than two million copies sold of her spicily titled books of advice for better sex (e.g., 101 Nights of Grrreat Sex). Now, in a multimillion-dollar deal just signed with HarperCollins/Morrow executive editor Mauro DiPreta, she is, as it were, coming in from the cold. Her next book, The Great American Sex Diet, which she had planned to publish herself, will now be a Morrow book—probably already heading for the shelves as you read this. The world rights deal was arranged by agent Frank Weimann at Literary Group International, who said DiPreta was approached because he had earlier expressed interest in both a new Corn title and her prosperous backlist. This was, however, a one-book deal only.
