Two of the primal drives are combined in a book just preempted for world rights by editorial director Karen Rinaldiat Bloomsbury USA. It's the sassily titled Booty Food: A Date by Date, Nibble by Nibble, Course by Course Guide to Cultivating Love and Passion Through Food, which is itself quite a mouthful. The author, Jacqui Malouf, has a nifty platform as the sidekick for Bobby Flayon his long-running TV cooking show, Hot Off the Grill with Bobby Flay, and is also a comedienne and actor in her own right. Her book, which was sold for a significant six figures by agent Janis Donnaud, is described as the first relationship guide for readers passionate about both love and food, combining advice about dating, sex and relationships with 100 recipes designed to complement each phase of an affair. Her co-writer is Liz Gumbinner, and tentative pub date is spring 2003.
