Another newly arrived senior editor, Doubleday's Stacy Creamer (formerly of Putnam), signed an oral history of the September 11 attacks by Dean Murphy, the New York Times reporter who wrote much of the paper's early ground zero coverage. It will consist of dramatic first-person accounts by people who narrowly escaped the infernos at the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, as well as Washington officials' reactions to the events, and will be published next September 11, on the first anniversary of the tragedy. Creamer bought world hard/soft rights (paperback for Broadway) from agent Chris Calhoun at Sterling Lord Literistic.
