Daniel Silva is becoming something of a fixture on PW's fiction charts. Beginning back in 1997, The Unlikely Spy, The Mark of the Assassin and The Kill Artist have enjoyed a combined run of nine weeks, and now his latest, The English Assassin, lands at #6 (a higher spot than any of the earlier novels reached). Publicity began with a Today appearance on March 5 (the day after pub date) and was followed by two national radio satellite tours. In a starred review, PW disposed of this Assassin as "a superbly crafted thriller that puts Silva at the forefront of his generation of foreign intrigue specialists." Putnam reports 108,500 copies in print.
