Letters, poems and erotic fantasies by late rap icon Tupac Shakur, written to Angela Ardis, who wrote to him in jail in 1995, will be published in a book called Inside a Thug's Heart, which Karen Thomas at Kensington's Dafina imprint just bought from agent Alexander Smithline at Harold Ober. The material, none of which has been seen before, was exchanged with Ardis, a young model and screenwriter. She visited him a couple of times in jail and was to have met him again when he was released, but he was murdered before that could happen. The book will be a complete account of the relationship, plus Shakur's works, and was bought for hard/soft rights plus British, foreign and first serial. It will be published next May.
