New York's former first lady Donna Hanover eventually split with Mayor Rudy Giuliani, as all tabloid readers know, and later remarried an old beau she had first met in high school, lawyer Ed Oster. Laureen Rowland, publisher of Penguin's new Hudson Street Press, thought Hanover would be the ideal author to write a book about such second-time-around romances and commissioned her to write a book called My Boyfriend's Back: Second Chance Love. Hanover, who is a journalist and TV hostess as well as a former actress, was glad to tell her own story, and that of a number of people she interviewed for the book, and a deal was signed for North American rights with agent Fredrica Friedman. The book will be out in time for Valentine's Day next year.
