The Perseus Books Group's Argo Navis service, for authors who want to self-publish but have an agent, has added eight new literary agents as clients. The agencies are: April Eberhardt Literary; David Black Agency.; Elizabeth Kaplan Literary Agency; FinePrint Literary Management; Folio Literary Management; Levine Greenberg Literary Agency, Inc.; Liza Royce Literary Agency; and the Melanie Jackson Agency.

This group of agencies joins a collection that have recently signed with Agro Navis, following outfits like Janklow & Nesbit, Curtis Brown, and Writers House. Clare Peeters, v-p of corporate strategy and business development at Perseus, said that the service has "a number of books in the pipeline and are looking forward to adding many more as our program continues to grow." With Argo Navis, agents act as the liasion with Perseus, while authors are the publishers.
