Delia Owens's Where the Crawdads Sing may not have had an unpunctuated reign over the Apple Books store's bestseller list this year, but it's king nonetheless. The books has dominated the list since January, outlasting its principal rival for the throne, Michelle Obama's Becoming, by virtue of a forthcoming film adaptation and a Reese Witherspoon book club pick. Outside of the top slot this week, Anna Todd has three books in the top 20—again, getting a big boost thanks to the big screen, with the Hollywood adaptation of After taking that book to #3.
