Polish fantasy author Andrzej Sapkowski saw the first novel in his Witcher series, The Last Wish, hit #1 on the Apple Books store in the last business week of 2019 thanks to the popularity of Netflix's adaptation of those novels and the popular video game series also based on them, The Witcher, starring Henry Cavill. Another Witcher title by Sapkowski, Blood of Elves, also hit the top 20. Where the Crawdads Sing hit #5 on the list this week as well, its strongest showing in a month or so after spending most of the year on or near the top of the list.
