German company BookRix, which created a U.S. book community for self-published authors in fall 2008 at BookRix.com, is adding to those efforts with today’s announcement that it just launched a set of e-book distribution services. With the new services, writers can upload their work and sell it to BookRix members or choose a distribution package for Amazon, Apple iBooks, the Nook, and other devices and online retailers.

BookRix is making three packages available, including a free basic one that makes e-books available only to its community of 430,000 users. But the Advantage and Professional packages include a unique ISBN and enable authors to set the price of their e-book and to collect a portion of the sales.
