CoverCake has entered into separate deals with Ingram and Inscribe Digital. CoverCake’s analytical tools allow users to track what books are trending on various social networks including Twitter and Facebook.

In its deal with Ingram, Ingram will combine its own data with the CoverCake’s social media analytical tools “to discover not just how millions of people are reacting to specific books and who those people are, but how they’re reacting to entire book subjects, both at a macro and micro level,” CoverCake said. As part of the agreement, CoverCake will provide Ingram with book category and individual trends, online influencers and book conversations both through its online dashboard and its own automated data feed.

The deal with CoverCake, said Anne Kubek, executive v-p and general manager of digital distributor Inscribe, "will provide our clients with unparalleled insights into the book industry. These insights will greatly help to drive marketing, social media conversations and most importantly, book sales."
