Scholarly and academic publisher Colin Jones passed away on March 1, after a bout with Alzheimer's Disease. He was 76.

His editorial positions included American Book Company, Cambridge University Press (American Branch), MIT Press, the Free Press, and he served as director of the NYU Press for some years. His most recent job was president at Routledge U.S.

He is survived by his wife, Sally Dougan.

There will be a memorial celebration for friends on Tuesday, June 17 at 6:00 p.m. at the Salmagundi Club (47 Fifth Avenue) in New York City. Donations on Jones's behalf can be made to the ASPCA or Bide-A-Wee. Please RSVP to sdougan@bertdavis.com.
