In announcing the bestselling books and audiobooks on its platform for 2023, Apple Books has also rolled out a new in-app feature, Year in Review, allowing users to glean insights into their reading and listening habits over the course of the year.
In the style of Spotify's popular Spotify Wrapped feature, Apple Books' Year in Review features highlights and data from users' years in reading, including total time spent reading, the longest book read or audiobook listened to, and their most-read author and genre. Users can also assess whether they met their reading goals over the course of the year, including total number of days read and their longest streak of reading. The results of Year in Review can be shared with other users, featuring the total books and total minutes spent reading alongside an accompanying grid of book covers.
