Dominique Raccah, Sourcebooks’ publisher and CEO, has received the Committee of 200’s Entrepreneurial Champion Award for 2013. Each year C200, an organization that fosters, celebrates and advances women’s leadership in business, recognizes an individual who has “created an innovative new product or service with global implications.” Past recipients of the Entrepreneurial Champion Award include the late Anita Roddick, founder of the Body Shop, and Wanda Miletti Ferragamo, president of Salvatore Ferragamo Italia.

“Having a group of awesome women believe that book publishing is a field that's growing and vibrant is fabulous,” Raccah told PW, “For them to get how much change we've created in our organization, amazing!”

C200’s 2013 Luminary Awards will be presented at a ceremony at the Palace Hotel in New York City on Oct. 25, during the organization’s annual conference. Luminary Awards will also be presented to Joyce Russell, president, Adecco Staffing US; Renée James, president of Intel Corporation; and Marsha Firestone, president of Women Presidents’ Organization.

Raccah founded Sourcebooks in 1987 and now publishes more than 300 books and calendars each year under eight imprints. The company, headquartered in Naperville, Ill., has a satellite office in New York City.

C200 is an international invitation-only organization of more than 450 female entrepreneurs and corporate leaders representing 100 industries and generating more than $200 billion in annual revenues. It was founded in 1982.
