The eighth annual PW Star Watch is now open for submissions. The annual event, founded in 2015, recognizes publishing professionals from the U.S. and Canada who are in the early stages of their careers and are improving and innovating the industry.

The deadline for nominations is September 9. All honorees will be profiled in Publishers Weekly's October 31 issue. The winner will be announced at a November 10 reception in New York.

“PW Star Watch is all about looking to the future of publishing, which has seen book sales soar amid Covid and a changing economic landscape,” said Jim Milliot, senior v-p and editorial director of Publishers Weekly. “Star Watch encourages nominations from those who exhibit and reflect the enthusiasm and creativity of the industry.”
