The titles, all selected by PW, were: The Breaks by Julietta Singh (Coffee House); The Girls from Bronzeville by Dawn Turner (S&S); Madam: The Biography of Polly Adler, Icon of the Jazz Age by Debby Applegate (Doubleday); Made in China: A Memoir of Love and Labor by Anna Qu (Catapult); Literary Friendship with Toni Morrison by A.J. Verdelle (Amistad); Shelf Life: Chronicles of a Cairo Bookseller by Nadia Wassef (FSG): Taste: My Life Through Food by Stanley Tucci (Gallery); and Things I Have Withheld by Kei Miller (Grove).
