St. Martin's Press acquired North American rights to star biographer Andrew Morton's new book, William and Catherine. The book, about Prince William and the woman who recently became his fiancee, Kate Middleton, is scheduled to be released shortly after the couple's highly publicized wedding at Westminster Abbey on April 29, 2011.

Morton, who's written a number of unauthorized biographies of a cadre of celebrities ranging from Tom Cruise to Angelina Jolie, has also covered the royal family for decades; in 1992 his biography of Princess Diana, Diana: Her True Story, was published.

The new book, on Prince William and his bride, will chronicle the couple's courtship--they met in college eight years ago--and a number of details of their relationship, including their engagement in Kenya. The book will feature over 100 photographs and, per SMP, "32 pages of exclusive wedding coverage."
